Note: to register for the Thai Yoga Massage retreat with Sunny Klaber please visit www.integraltravel.com or contact Sunny at sunnyklaber@yahoo.com Our resident yoga teacher, Gina Leung is a Yoga Alliance 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and received her Yoga Teacher Diploma Certification by shakti mhi, founder of Prana Yoga Teacher College. Gina teaches classical Hatha yoga flow, which embraces the precision of Iyengar, the style of Sivananda, and the flow of Ashtanga with a focus on safety and alignment. She also teaches Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Laughter Yoga. Her classes include asanas (postures) to help tone, strengthen and increase flexibility. She incorporates a flowing movement of forward bends, back bends, inversions and twists to stretch the spine in eight directions, thereby balancing the central nervous system. Each class ends with a deep relaxation, essential to store and ground the energy created during the class leaving you feeling rejuvenated. Gina's enthusiasm and warmth, motivates and encourages her students to make personal choices in their yoga practice and develop skills to help them become attuned to their bodies. Gina's inspiration as a yoga teacher is to lead her students to discover new physical awareness by focusing on the integration of breath with movement, to move beyond the mind and connect with their inner silence and to practice stillness in each asana (posture), creating a sense of peace and well-being. |
